In the lower grades K through 5, Specials teachers give grades based on an E,S,P,N scale. E is the highest and N is the lowest grade. Please click here to see the rubric I use to determine grades for 2nd through 5th grade students in the Computer Lab. My grades for these classes are based on class participation and conduct. The students do not receive individual grades for their assignments in class but their overall academic achievement is directly related to their participation and conduct.
In the event that you use inappropriate language in any setting the following steps will be taken:
Step 1: You will receive a reminder that we are at school and appropriate school language is to be used. An opportunity to re-do the assignment will be provided.
Step 2: You will receive a “0″ on the assignment and your parents will be notified. We will again discuss that appropriate school language is to be used in all class work.
Step 3: You will receive a “0″ on the assignment and your parents will be notified. We will again discuss that appropriate school language is to be used in all class work. Additionally, you will no longer be able to complete assignments on-line. You will automatically receive less than the full credit for all future assignments. This will significantly impact your grade in this class.
• Please know and understand that I will be the final arbiter (judge) of what is over the lines of acceptable language use.
Should there be any questions or concerns about this policy, please share them with me prior to there being a problem. Thank you.
I have listed here the rubric that will be used to grade your Public Service Announcement project. Please review it to make sure you understand how it is going to be graded. This project is due by the end of the day Friday, September 23rd.
I know all of you are totally excited that school is out! To be honest, I am too!!
There will be those times though when it's too hot outside and you just want to play a few games on the computer. When that happens please remember some of our Lab websites!
You especially want to stay fresh for school so a little time regularly on Study Island would be great for you! If you can't remember your username or password just email me and I'll get it to you as soon as I can. You can email me at email@example.com.
